Murphy's law at work......

ok most of this is copied from a post I made in my coven forum

fun I had yesterday.....

went and got ins back on my motorcycle (took longer than expected because I had to fill out new papers), picked up copies of my MRIs of my back (had fill out paperwork in records dept. to get them used to be able to just sign a release in radiology), rode my motorcycle 100+ miles to Cape Girardeau MO to see my neurologist (was VERY WINDY blowing so hard was difficult to keep my feet on the pegs ok going 80mph into the headwind didn't help but I was running late oh and estimated 100mph wind + 40F = very cold), waited almost 3hrs to see doc for 5min (had to fill out all new paperwork cause he changed offices grrrrrr). My folks were down there too because my dad had an appointment with a doc down there too so went to supper with them (was my mom's b-day), decided to go to my folks for the night since it was closer than going home plus that way I got to spend some time with my mom for her b-day, stopped at a couple places on the way to find some bib coveralls to keep my legs warmer. Some place just east of Ware IL my speedometer quit working. grrrrrrrrr at least my legs are warmer i guess.

Thank God for narcotic pain relievers, good thing they don't make me sleepy too cause I was very sore by the time I made it to cape. Since I was running late I didn't stop anywhere like I normally do to give my back and legs a break. My folks are remodeling so couldn't get to the bed in the spare bedroom so had pain pills for breakfast. I have to take them every morning anyway but usually I eat first. So now I have to try to get motorcycle fixed so I can go home.

Another year gone and a new beginning

Another year gone and many things along with it. Some for the best, while others regrettably so. I've learned over the years not to dwell on the past especially the things that were bad, mistakes or losses because we can't change the past. That being said, I also have learned not to forget those things but instead try to learn from them so as not to repeat the past. Last year brought many good things too the best of which was another year with my girlfriend. Towards the end of last year I really had a sense of a new beginning a turning point in my life and I hope to continue that into this new year. In that theme I began rearranging and cleaning our computer room which has needed it for quite some time. The computer room is basically my responsibility because of all the connections for everything in there. I've been putting it off for a while because it needed a major rearranging to accommodate everything that's in here now and still make things accessible and not cluttered. It's been a slow process today and I still have a long way to go but I have made a lot of progress. For the first time in a while I actually have a feeling of accomplishment. I just hope that I can continue to see this all the way through. It may not seem like a big deal to some but when you are bipolar finishing a project can be difficult for many and I am one of those. I think it has a lot to do with the mood swings you go through being bipolar. Since one of my triggers is music I have been keeping "positive feeling" music playing and it has seemed to help. Well I guess I need to eat and get back at it, I know if I stop too long I won't get back to it any time soon.
